The Essentials RSS Feed webpart allows you to seamlessly integrate external news, blog posts, and social updates into your SharePoint pages. By connecting to standard JSON feeds, it aggregates external content in real time across multiple layout formats—such as carousels, tickers, and grids. Flexible styling options, text truncation controls, and custom call-to-action buttons help keep your organization informed with curated updates.
Key capabilities include:
- Connects to JSON Feed 1.1 format endpoints (e.g., rss.app or feedbin) via a secure SharePoint proxy
- Layouts: Carousel, Grid, List, Highlight, and Ticker
- Post text, line limits, date, and source/author display controls
- Custom accent colour and call-to-action / follow button
- Auto-advancing carousel and open-in-new-tab behaviour

Key Features
JSON Feed Integration
Connect to JSON Feed 1.1 endpoints (e.g., rss.app or feedbin), fetched securely via a SharePoint proxy.
Five Layout Options
Carousel, Grid, List, Highlight (featured spotlight), and Ticker vertical scroll.
Text Truncation
Toggle post text and set a max line limit for summaries before truncating (e.g., 3 lines).
Accent Colouring
Set a custom hex accent colour for buttons, borders, and UI highlights (default: LinkedIn blue).

Auto-advance Carousel
