SP Essentials Analytics
Page-level analytics for SharePoint pages — what's read, what's not, who's reading. Matomo-backed, privacy-respecting.
What’s included
A separate SPFx package that ships independently of the main Essentials package. You can install one, the other, or both — they validate against the same license server but use different product licenses.
Web parts
- Page Analytics — view counts, unique visitors, dwell time for the page it’s placed on. Audience-controlled by default (editors only) but can be shown to everyone.
- Trending Pages — top pages by views in a configurable window, scoped to the current site, hub, or whole tenant.
- Analytics Admin — tenant-wide Matomo configuration. Drop on an admin site, paste your Matomo URL and site ID, you’re tracking.
Extension
- Analytics Tracker — application customizer that loads the Matomo tracker on every page once configured. No per-page setup required.
Why Matomo
Matomo is open-source, self-hostable, and doesn’t share data with anyone you don’t share it with. We integrate cleanly with both Matomo Cloud and on-prem installations. If you already run Matomo for your public site, the same instance can track your intranet.
