Hero — six layouts (Featured, Carousel, Fullscreen, Split, Grid, Mosaic) for editorial banners. Two visual styles (modern overlay, SharePoint-classic gradient). Image quality control built in.

Notices — banner notices with audience targeting and an expiry date. Editors create them; the right people see them; they disappear when they should.

Property pane controls speak the editor’s language, not the developer’s. “Sort: newest first” not “Sort direction: DESC.”
Sensible defaults that work without configuration. A newly-placed web part should look right immediately. Tuning is for people who want to tune.
Consistency across the family. The same colour picker, the same toggle pattern, the same About panel on every web part.
No tenant-wide permissions beyond what each web part strictly needs to do its job.
